About

I am a second-year student-athlete at SFU majoring in Psychology. I grew up in Brooklin, Ontario my entire life, which is where my family currently lives. I’ve always been an independent person so moving away from home has not been too challenging but being over 4000km away from my family is not ideal. My busy schedule keeps me distracted, but these distractions have led me to burnout. The student-athlete lifestyle has forced me to suppress personal struggles, as I’ve been programmed to solely focus on school and softball. As someone who struggles to devote time to academics, I often feel unmotivated and rarely have a sense of accomplishment. This has also stunted my ability to focus on my biggest passion: the arts. Particularly, music, movies, and most notably: visual art.
